That sucks - what part of NH are you from? I'm in So. NH. I often see several deer in my backyard sneak up to nibble on my tasty greens, but I haven't had a deer in my headlights for a while.

The last incident I had was driving down 111 at night in my T-Bucket and there is a deer in the road in front of me. I slowed down as I approached it and it just looks at me - oh no! It's looked directly into my headlights! I stopped in the road about 40 feet from the deer and we had a mexican standoff for a while. I screamed at it but it wouldn't friggin' move! I finally turned off my headlights, hit the aaaoooogah horn and revved the engine which scared it and it ran of. Stupid deer!

I hope you get your car fixed - there aren't many of us here from NH!

Wow, nice area - if you like the woods :hick: We did a lot of camping up over in the Notch when I was a kid. I live in the Windham/Derry area which is more of a suburb of Boston/Manchester at this point.

I'm dreading the day that happens to me.  It's not uncommon to see em dart across the roads here.

Been there, done that.  $7K worth of damage to a '08 Impala with less than 4000 miles on it.  Deer came THROUGH the driver's door window and hit my hand (spraining my wrist).  Side air-curtains deployed, shoved the deer back out of the car, and nearly took my head off in the process.  Seat belts cinched up, and nearly crushed me in the seat.  Should be getting the Impala back this Friday (after 6 weeks in the shop).  Guess the doe was lookin to cross-breed with a big Impala, dunno.

Iffin ya need it, I've got a fender that's in better shape than yours, but yours doesn't really look all that bad.  You can probably fix the fender, but the header's toast.  The header off mine is repairable, but has a couple studs knocked off it.  Some good glue for fiberglass should do the trick, though.  Still have both studs.  Free to a good home ('cept shipping) if you think you can use it.  I'll take some photos of it if you want.  Got some headlight doors too if ya need 'em.  I grab those every time I see 'em at Pull-A-Part.

Roger hit a deer with the Taurus and the damage was $4500 plus..... The bad thing was we had been with the insurance company less than 6 months and hadn't even paid that amount in premiums. lol
But, they fixed it and no problems... we had it back in 2 1/2 days.
