Had to one up Carmen. ;)

Yeah I'm cool like that.

Still need to finish it up, hook up the display and paint.

Also a Gentex auto dim mirror hanging there.

Y'know, I'd considered a GM console (I had a couple removed from police vehicles to install overhead video equipment). I decided against it because the ones I had would've required too much tpuppies. I ended up ebaying 'em and got the Ford console instead. What is that console out of?

Also, some GM consoles have the compass module separate from the display. Does yours have the module built in?

The console is out of a 92-93 Oldsmobile Bravada.  The front portion of it fits rather nicely but the rear will require some work, but I think I have it figured out already.  I'm not 100% sure on the wiring of the display.  I've spent some time trying to find a diagram on Alldata with no luck.  Maybe Mitchell will have one?  I've got the dome/map lights hooked up.  That was the easy part.

The connector to the display does have about 8 or so wires going to it.  Maybe I am missing something.  I might just gut a ford console and install its module in this console.

The mirror came out of a late 90's Buick.  Its not wired in yet but It won't be hard at all.

After this I need to figure out where to put the homelink module at.

And you were worried it wouldn't fit. ;)

Looks like you won't even have to alter the visors.

The ones I had were from 2000-ish S10 Blazers. Their roofs have a bunch of weird contours, so I decided against using one. The actual electronic modules looked the same as yours, though.

Here's the wiring diagram (well, for a '94 anyway - Mitchell diagrams really suck for 93 and older). Looks like the compass sensor is built in. Didja get the outside temp sensor on the rad support? My sensor is actually from a Blazer. It works perfectly with the Ford console

How much did you have to hack your headliner? Did you have any issues mounting it to the roof? Any dome light or visor clearance issues?

The rearview looks just like the one I got from a 90/91 Lincoln Town Car. Piece of cake to wire up, just don't forget the wire to the backup lights. Fun project.
