Bah, lookin at the hot rod website, they say "...Plimpton took the win with a 8.536-second e.t. at 163.06 mph in his ProCharger supercharged, 572ci Ford-powered '89 Thunderbird."

89 Tbird?  Ugh....WRONG!  The pic clearly shows a fox Tbird.  Thats sad when they cant even get the right BODY STYLE.  It's one thing if they said 87 (even I can't really tell the difference), but 89?

EDIT:  Here's a link to a video; shows the final rounds near the end.  Gotta love seein a fellow fox Tbird wipin away Chevies, etc left and right :D

Yes, but he was driving a Chevy, so how bright could he be?  :hick:

I was there and the T bird ran a 8.44 @ 173 MPH on  Fri night.
The car was very clean. They were only running 18lbs of boost.
Said the car made around 1700 Flywheel HP.
