new shoes Reply #16 – April 22, 2008, 12:24:31 PM so now I notice my speedo is about 5 MPH off. Which I kind of expected, being that these are larger. is there any way to recalibrate the speedo for the difference? or would I have to get a speedo cable setup for a car with these factory? has anone done this? new shoes Reply #17 – May 08, 2008, 02:03:40 AM A good method I have seen work well for painting rims is to use a scotch brite pad to prep then spray epoxy primer then use a thinly mixed roadgaurd coat. For those that aren't sure that is the slightly rough paint at the bottom of the doors/fenders to prevent rock chips. mix it thin and it will not be noticably rough then paint. We used a basecoat clearcoat teh same as the body. Quote Selected

You could compensate by getting a lower profile tire!Thats what I did with my Exploder when I went to 20". Quote Selected

new shoes Reply #20 – May 09, 2008, 12:55:36 AM Yep just use a scotch brite, some wax and grease remover and have at it. Duplicolor is what I used on some polycast wheels I have on mine now. Nice stuff really. Quote Selected
