4-eyed Cougar (2nd gen)

OK, I know we aren't a "classic" Cougar site, but this ad my girlfriend sent me caught my attention. This thing is clean and comes with a 351C which brings back memories of my '71 'Stang. I like how you can see some of the styling cues that survived to our 5th gen models. Check out the picures at the link.

72 is my favorite year, much like that one, followed by the 69-70 Eliminators. I'll get one for my next project, after I'm done with my 87

Yep love the early ones too. Then again I love just about ALL old stuff.

I think of the first ones every time I look at my taillights, especially at night when theres a light shining on them! I know some people take out the diffuser in there so that vertical pattern goes away but I'll never do that, I love the resemblance.

I'll take just about any older car if offered.
the mirror should have been painted the same color as the car. sticks out like a sore thumb.

I always thought by 73 they became the 460 powered battleship cousin of the Mark IV but that still has a bit of sport to it in my eye, with the tach and floorshift especially.

Where in the world did you find a girlfriend that will encourage your interest in old cars? I'd have to say she's a keeper!

You're thinking of the 74-76 models. They're basically a Ford Elite

Well, she's a Ford girl, so she's a keeper. When I met her, she was driving a RED cougar - just like me (granted, it's a 2001 that she still has  ) :D I need to ask her why she's always on Craigs list checking out the "best of Craigs list" :hick: She also has the same birthday as me which is weird - lol

Wow haha that's some wild shiznit there! However..re: "always on best of craigslist" she SHOULD be. That is by far some of the best (and its FREE) entertainment I have seen. I mean some of it is just a *mite* graphic but I've almost hit my head on my desk on several occassions whilst journeying from my chair to the carpet.
