T bird throttle body vs. mustang

Hi, I'm glad I found this site. Great stuff, and now I have a question;

I have a 56 ford with a 302 in it, and I'm converting it to 5.0  H.O. with Mass air efi instead of the present carbureted 302. The EFI intake is from a 91 T bird H.O. and has the angled air intake on the upper plenum. A friend on mine has a 89 mustang 65 mm throttle body that he would let me have cheap, but it wont fit the bolt pattern in the T bird intake. I had thought that all throttle bodies had the same bolt pattern so obviously i'm wrong there... The mustang bolt pattern is square bore 3 1/2" per side and the T bird has a rectangular bolt pattern. I was also surprised at how large the air intake passage is in the T bird upper plenum, much larger diameter than the stock T bird throttle body.

If I order a larger throttle body the the Tbird intake, what should I specify to fit that manifold? Any cross reference for years or models that have more flow than the small stock 91 unit?

Thanks!

I believe what you'll need is the TB for '94-'95 Mustang, they used th same intake as the '91-'93 Tbirds/Cougars.
