Viola!!!! No longer having problems with my 85 Cougar!!

  HURRAY!!!

Well amazingly enough, we went out after work to tackle this car again. I jumped in and turned the key and the pump made a noise. So I cranked it and after the second try it started up, sounded better than it did before. Im not sure if testing the ground got the pump unjammed?? or what but it works. So thanks a million for the great advice and guidance. :D

Of course this extacy was short lived. In the celebration we forgot 2 major oversights. 1. I forgot to tuck my ground cable to my battery away(its too long) and chopped it up with my alternator fan  :hick:
2. And when putting the gas tank on I didnt check it and it wasnt plum with the gasket on the filler hose :hick:

But those were no problem, replaced the cable and plummed the tank. Just remeber not to get too excited when your done and run a check list.

Again thanks for the help, it has inspired me to fix more of my car and also inspired my friend to bring his 86 thunderchicken back from the dead. We will send pics and keep you guys posted on the progress.

YOU GUYS ROCK.... :headbang:
