Hi Mike,

Does this camera have an email mode that will take a picture in the 80kb or so size?  This is what you need for taking pictures for forums.

A lot of cameras coming out now will not take a small picture.  I know can resize them and get them smaller but I just do not want to do this for every picture I take.

Hey Ted, check out Microsoft's free Image Resizer Powertoy.  You can right click on one, or many pictures and quickly resize them all so you can post them.  Its a great little utility that allows you to take full size pictures and keep them, but quickly upload smaller versions on forums.  Its great so you don't have to load up Photoshop to resize a bunch of pictures.

It's near the bottom of the list:

This will take pictures that are really small/close up. There is a setting on it for that.

P71, the button on the back that had the flower on it.... press that one. Then there are a couple settings.... the one that is at the bottom (S +flower pict) is the one that does really close up pictures. It tells you this on your screen when you press that button.

Here's some pics! :hick:

The first is just a point-and-click on auto. See the tiny little American flag? Same flag in pic 2 fully zoomed. Keep in mind these pics are 3100xsomething at 300dpi before i ham-fistedly resized them ;)
