Thanks, but you just showed me info in threads that I've already read and the first two threads show different lift #'s for the Cobra cam.  Close #'s, but different nonetheless.

AGAIN.  I appreciate the effort, but it just doesn't satisfy me.....:sorry:

I require something more concrete, hence the reason I ask if anyone has firsthand knowledge, pics they took themselves, a Cobra cam laying around they can read the part # off of or take a micrometer to....

I just wanna say that my 92 Thunderbird had the GT cam F1ZE when I had the engine rebuilt. The Thunderbird got the revised cam in 93 to increase low end torque as well as smooth the idle quality.

Modern Mustangs by Jim Campisano also states that the 93 Cobra used the 93 Thunderbird Cam as a way to increase low end torque to compensate for the high flowing heads and intake.

Outstanding!! Thanks Jeremy, I've actually been looking for that.

So, for 1993 the Cougar/T-Bird 5.0 received the same camshaft from the factory as the 1993 Mustang Cobra albeit with a rocker arm that had a shorter ratio.

Specs for the Explorer cam for those interested are as follows:

Lobe lift: Intake - .264  Exhaust - .280  Multiply by rocker arm ratio for total lift ;)
Adv. Duration: Intake - 256  Exhaust - 266
ICL - 118
ECL - 114
LSA - 116
Intake Opens 10* ATDC
Intake Closes 66* ABDC
Exhaust Opens 66* BBDC
Exhaust Closes 20*BTDC
Overlap 30* @ advertised duration #'s
