Protecting the undercariage from rust

Calgary isn't a terribly corrosive environment but just the same I want to protect my car for many years to come.  Sometime this summer, probably starting when I do the rear end swap I'd like to get the worst of the rust off my floorpans and such.  I've heard some questionable things about that spray on rubber stuff but I was thinking about one of those protective paints.  Anyone have experience/tips for this? :)

I used por15 before a few times, no complaints... I’d like to do the same thing you’re doing, but I want to make a rotisserie first to get under it all.

rust-bullet is another.  I personally like removing all rust and then epoxy primering.  And a rotisserie is in my plans, too.

I, too, would like to protect my undercarriage after working on my rear end.

Blasting would be the best way,

You could blast,
convert any rust that you can't get to, to black oxide
then seal converted rust with por or product of choice
epoxy prime everything
then paint with an under carriage type of paint or sealing type of undercoating

or you can paint the underneath and then undercoat it for another layer of protection
