Motor mount batch head's up February 01, 2008, 12:11:25 PM Well, things have been kind of crazy the past couple months in regards to motor mount orders, and I already have a backlog..and it's only Feb.Anyway, at some point this month I will be ordering parts for make more of the Type 6 (5.0 mounts). How many I build will depend on actual interest I get. So, if you are itching for a set and actually plan on buying a set, and don't want to miss this batch, shoot me an email (cwarren@indy.net).There is no money changing hands right now, I just don't want to order parts for some and then have a handful of people come forward and say they want a set, etc, etc. Again, serious inquiries only please.Chuck Quote Selected

Motor mount batch head's up Reply #3 – February 05, 2008, 08:46:17 PM I've got one question - how long would these things last? Not in terms of strength, but long term durability? 10 years, 20 years, 100 years?Next month I would likely have money to throw at car parts, especially if these would be the last motor mounts ever needed. Motor mount batch head's up Reply #4 – February 05, 2008, 09:33:43 PM Well the very first sets of mounts I ever sold shipped 4 years ago today. The oldest set that I ran were 1-2 years older than that. While I've had a couple bad bushings from my supplier, no one has reported back to me that they have broken the mounts and only 1 or 2 people have asked for replacement bushings. And that is out of over 340 sets that have shipped in the past 4 years. (holy that's alot....)Hard to say honestly. Urethane doesn't have an indefinite lifespan, so that is the limiting factor as it will eventually cold-set (compress sightly). Quote Selected
