drove a GT today! February 24, 2005, 10:29:17 PM and yes, everythign u heard awesome about that car, times it by 400 bajillion. im at school so i cant get into deatils, but the stick was in a weird but comfy/super weird spot, and those 3.4 second to 60 er w/e seemed about half a second shorter than a second. i passed 60 still in first gear and the guy who was testing it was like WHAT GEAR ARE YOU IN?! GEAR?!!??!?!?!?yea it was a perfect jay and silent bob moment. but WOW that car could burn its tires any speed i was goin (only got up 60) class is startin later! Quote Selected

Reply #6 – February 25, 2005, 04:50:46 PM ok now im home, i can give ya the story.i work atta ford dealership, and i was heading to another lot to pick up some cars. as soon as i pull out of the driveway, the GT ( no, not the mustangs) flies past me. so im like OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG and floor my little freestar to try to catch his ass. he ends up pullin into a gas station where we fill up our sold unnits so i pull over to have a look at this car.the guy who was driving it works at ford, i cant rememebr what his job was, but he was takin the car to a shop to get the whole car repainted (cuz it had a small chip on the hood), and by luck, the guy knew one of my dads really good friends (who also works at ford).so i start eyeing it and drooling, i tried takin some pics of it with my fone, but only 2 came out ok. then i started acting really down sayin how im goin into the service in a few months and stuff and said boy i'd love to srive one of these things in case i dont come back :hick: so he said HOP ON IN and those words enough were to make me forget entirely about ies and cars. so i left the minivan runnin, and hopped into the GT and took her out really slow and about 20 mph i punched it and just screamed like a little girl past 60 until the guy was screaming at me to shift. dude, friggin like, i think them tires were breaking loose the entire time i couldnt tell cuz like, holy , the momentum total blurred out all sounds (my screaming didnt help either) and i shifted into 2nd and chirped the tires real quick then let off. i dont think i even got up 70, but it was the best ride of my life.it was just so freakin amazing how quick that thing was. i thought i was gonna start flyin er sumthing. very insane. the guy also told me that Kid Rock bought one from a dealer not to far from us. dammit if we had one i bet i woudla seen a celebrity. but when we get a GT ill test drive it for you guys. even tho ill get fired. but hey its worth it Quote Selected

Reply #7 – February 25, 2005, 05:54:42 PM . i would think that those cars would be the same deal as the Cobra R NO TEST DRIVES. you drive it after you own it... i would love to just sit in it or go for a ride in it i would kill to drive it though. i wouldnt care about laws at that point im gojng all out if i drove it .i want to see 211 on the speedo or die trying i want to push it to the limit Quote Selected
