Turbo exhaust question December 30, 2007, 02:09:30 PM I'm planning on using a Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo in my 88 Turbo Coupe and was wondering if it would be easier to use the O2 housing for the turbo and customize the exhaust to connect to it and customize the O2 bung or to get a and customize a whole new downpipe. Turbo exhaust question Reply #1 – December 30, 2007, 05:59:34 PM Why? The Eclipse turbo is even smaller then the IHI if it's the stock one. Quote Selected

The Eclipse turbo is even smaller then the IHI if it's the stock one. This one look like its at least the same size to me. Either way I got it cheap and its got low miles and my car has over like 150,000 miles with no turbo rebuild. Quote Selected
Turbo exhaust question Reply #3 – December 31, 2007, 09:20:27 AM Do you have a front mount? Or are you planning on cutting off that 90* outlet? Is the header even the same as the IHI/T-3? Just because it's cheap (and low mileage), doesn't mean you should use it. Especially since it is no bigger than the IHI. And WTF does your name sound so familiar?**EDIT** - Nick Noble...http://foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=11731What are the odds of you two having the same last name living 50 miles apart? Any relation?http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Troy,+MO,+United+States+of+America&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title Quote Selected
Turbo exhaust question Reply #4 – December 31, 2007, 12:39:13 PM That's a T2 and will support about half the stock boost pressure of an IHI, IF it even bolts up at all. The exhaust should be smaller by 1/4".Sell it, buy the RIGHT turbo. Quote Selected

As far as I know there's no close relation but I'm not really in touch with my dads side of the family, but I had a very similar and more expensive problem with someone on here by the name of David_jo_xr7.Here's the threadhttp://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=15035 Quote Selected
