Saw

Saw the nicest turbo coupe I've ever seen around here today...looked new AND had polished-to-shine snowflakes (gotta get myself some of those - they looked great, especially in motion). I'm just still shocked to find someone around here who cares much about their fox bird. What goes through your heads when you see these cars in person (from people you don't know)? I can't help but gaze every time.

Too bad I was in a box truck so they had no idea I was a fellow owner

It does my heart good to see an older car that someone obviously cares about and has taken care of.  Be it a Tbird, Cougar, or just an old Blazer or something.

Been seeing a lot of 87-88s lately. Yesterday alone I saw two, one (a Bird) being towed back to someone's house.. and the other (a Cougar, but with that full cloth roof treatment) in my rear-view mirror while waiting near an accident scene.

I don't trade much eye contact with the other drivers. Not that I don't look at the other cars, it's just that they're usually driven by really old people who don't give enough of a  about the other vehicles around them to look. That's what I get for living in a "retirement community" area.. most of the Fox and MN-12 drivers are ancient here. (that and land values apparently passing 2 dollars a square foot, if Ebay Real Estate is to be believed.. heh)

Usually the ones driven by older people are in decent condition.. probably all garage-kept and well-maintained, although I don't think they go out of the way to maintain the looks. (no washing 'em with diapers or whatever, although I'm sure they're cleaned regularly) If anyone around here is driving one and is relatively close to my age, say within 10-15 years of me, they're usually driving one that's average at best. In fact, if I've seen anyone from 20-50 years old driving one, my light blue Bird has probably been in better condition than theirs. (and it has significant rust) Kinda sad, but not everyone is a fan of whatever car they own/drive at the time.

i've practicly bought all the fox birds and cats in a 60 mile radius except for 2 and both are real pen 15s.one is an 88 TC that a know it all kid owns(gift from rich parents so no appreciation). the other is a dumass who likes to try and race everyone but dose nothing to the car, hell it is missing the both 1/4 glass.
