1985 T-Bird Clock???

The auction and part # suggest just that, 1985 Thunderbird, but I've never seen one of these before. It looks like it goes in the bottom panel below the A/C controls, where the lighter usually is. Interesting item. I have no interest in this as my lighter and cupholder are there, but someone might want this. Or maybe it goes above the radio where the storage area is? Maybe... I think...

Another one here:

What I can't figure out is, if one of these sat in one of the four console slots, what went in the square clock area?

The dimensions look off to fit in any of the DIN sized holes (a bit short, or a bit wide), but I don't know.

That price is effin' ridiculous!  And $296 for an '82 F-150 steering shaft?  Gimme a break.

Perhaps it's a part for a Fairmont/Zephyr?

I have never seen that piece in any Fox Cougar/Thunderbird.

That's the right part number for our clocks. That's not our clock though. The photos don't show enough detail to see the part number on the sheet of paper or on the box. My guess would be Escort/Lynx. I believe those had overhead consoles with the horizontal clock like that.

EDIT: I just checked my dealer album...that is indeed Escort/Lynx in the overhead console.

So there ya go. The pricing is way out of line anyway. I paid $15 for a NOS buttstuffog clock for the '84, and I've seen 1985-88 buttstuffog clocks go for about $20 NOS before. So $65-80 for an Escort clock...mmmm, yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree on that one. Yeahhhhh.
