New Section?

Let's face it.  Many of us here have veheicles that are NOT fox-body FoMoCo products.  I know, I know.  The horror, LOL.

How 'bout a section dedicated to vehicle discussion/tech other than fox t-bird/cougar/mark Vii/mustang/fairmont/zephyr?

It seems to come up on a regular basis in the lounge....Just an idea.

I had actually been thinking about this today - maybe a "Non-Fox tech" section for people to post tech questions about their other rides. Let's face it - for more and more people these cars are no longer daily drivers (and that's a good thing), and some people trust us to ask questions about other cars & trucks. Hell, I haven't driven my car in over a year, my DD is a frickin' Saturn, and my woods beater is an F-150. Paul's got his Mustang, Eric's got his Mountaneer, and so on and so forth. I'm always getting PM's from members asking for wiring diagrams for every make & model under the sun (unfortunately I don't check my PM's very often), so I think there would be a demand for such a section.

I'll have to think some more about it...

I have a 88 bronco I go to http://www.fullsizebronco.com I also have a 91 Nissan ser and my wife’s 05 trailblazer. Though other sights are good I like this sight and I’m here most. And I feel I know you guys most so when asking for help on a strange site you don’t know whose giving you advice. I guess what I’m trying to say is I have certain trust here even on other vehicles.

I sure as hell wouldn't be asking questions about my Tib here. I don't even trust the Tib forum for that, lol.

I do agree that there should be another section for other cars. Think of how many people we've had here asking questions about MN12s...
I think of it this way, people who ask questions do it for 2 reasons.
1. They are familiar with our board and don't know where else to go.
2. We actually try to help and don't criticize like most other boards.
I think it would be something good to have.

I don't want to search the "new posts" link and weed through threads pertaining to other vehicles.  The limited amount of discussion we have about other vehicles is cool, and it's ok to have in the lounge. But I don't want to create a section for it as this may increase the number of threads pertaining to other vehicles that I have to weed through on a Fox TBird/Cougar forum.  I come here for Fox TBird/Cougar info.  The occasional, "hey I gotta new car but it's not a fox" is fine.  We like to share other aspects of our lives in the lounge whether it's a different car we just bought, getting married, joining the military, etc.  This is our identity.  I don't want to crowd it out with dedicated sections pertaining to other cars.
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

Fox-body knowledge here is better than the other sites that I have seen.  Maybe because we all have "graduated" from the mustang crowd. (Which I never was a part of, thus my fox-unknowledge)  But I can see the pros and cons starting another section.  However, the real question is how many "guests" will start posting questions about other makes and models, and not have anything to do with fox body tbirds and/or cougars?  You know, like "guests" who don't even own a fox body, but want to know what pistons to use in a Chevy 350?
