can't idle for

ever since going on a trip up to the bay area to get a cobra intake, my car seems to have lost the ability to idle. if I'm sitting at a stoplight, it will fluctuate from ~500 rpm to ~1200 rpm, and I need to keep a little pressure on the gas pedal to keep it steady. also, whenever I put it into park after driving for a bit, it simply dies, as if putting it in park cuts the spark or shuts fuel off abruptly. hardly any stuttering, if at all. I pulled the IAC to see if it was clogged up or anything was wrong with it, it didn't look like anything was wrong. I haven't messed with anything since the trip, save a new battery and new alternator. any clues?  :ies:

TPS would be the next logical thing to check.  Any problems in the RPM range anywhere else besides idle?

yeah it kinda does that too sometimes, like it's bogging down with too much air? I have a HO upper+throttle body, I don't know if this would cause it. I don't think it would, because it isn't all the time that it bogs down. sometimes the car will be reeeealy slow at WOT, other times it surprises the hell out of me. guess the only fix is my HO I'm building up :D :D
