New T-bird owner Reply #17 – November 03, 2007, 09:48:22 PM A coworker had a set of Hedman Headers for a mustang 302. I did some reading and found out that they also fit the Tbird. It wasn't to bad. You definately need a hoist and a tranny jack to do it. Not a driveway install.Had to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine a few inches to get the passenger side header in. The driverside slide right in after removing the shift linkage. The headers are made with an opening in the tubes to run the linkage thru. I had to tweak the linkage in a vise to make it clear the header tube. I think the extra work will be well worth the end result. Quote Selected
