New Speaker

When I got my car a little while ago, the front driver's side dash speaker did not work. So I opened it up, took it out, and replaced it with a 3.5" speaker from Autozone. At first it worked, but when I turned it up a little, it cut out. So I went to Walmart and bought a 4" speaker, it worked as well, but then cut out. Should I get new speakers or check the wiring? Here are the specs on the speakers.

3.5"
Single Cone
25 Watts Max
4-8 Ohms Compatible
100Hz - 15KHz
91dB, 1W @ 1 Meter, 1Khz

4"
Dual cone

30 Watts Max

I'd check the wiring.  Could be a loose connection to the speaker too. Solder them on there.

I don't know what it turned out to be because it just started working.
It hasn't cut out again so it was most likely a wiring problem.
Thanks for the help.

sound like wiring, like others said but stay away from auto part stores and wal-mart speakers thay are  to the 9th power. spend $20 more for mid-grade and a shop

i got some 250 watt 4" speakers for $5 since a audio shop was going out of bussiness.

my dash now has PR power acoustiks and i paid i think around $35 for them and bought 2 extra sets for $10 each

PART # PR-132C

but since you allready bought them it might be wiring and fix what you got if you want to upgrade later theres the part # not the best out there but for the price sounds great.
