If only this had shown up before I bought the Saturn...

Whale Oil Beef Hooked. Somebody is actually selling what appears to be a 1988 Sport locally, advertises it as rust free, and the price is excellent (less than half what I paid for my car four years ago, though likely not quite as low mileage as mine). And me with two cars and a truck already (making it difficult to justify adding a third car), and with Christmas coming up. Life just ain't fair...

Yes I could, but oil hit $92 today. Gas is already around $4/gallon here (and that's with our dollar being worth more than yours now). Gasoline will be skyrocketing soon. The Saturn gets 40-45 MPG, while a T-Bird would be lucky to average 25-28. THAT would be the hard to justify part.

Even harder to justify would be using a car advertised as "rust free" as a daily driver in winter in Nova Scotia.

I want that car. I really do. But more than that I want a 4-eye or an 87-88 Cougar, or even a TC. I could probably convince myself to jump on something that is at least different than my current 'Bird (and could justify insuring a FOURTH car that way), but right now the math just doesn't add up to having two 5.0 87-88 Birds, because I'd STILL want a four eye or 87-88 Coug :hick:

You yourself said Christmas is comin' up...so be a good Santa and give me that other '88 5.0! ;)

I agree with AB, buy it and stash it away, sell it later...IF you don't get attached to it...you know how hard the V8 cars are to find anymore, much less a Sport! :D
