Another no start February 19, 2005, 06:48:49 PM Heres the scoop. i've got an 87 cat w/ a 5.0, and its been sitting in our storage shed since august. last week i was going to load it on a trailer to get some body work done on it, but of course it didnt start. the battery was dead so i threw the charger on it, charged it for 10-15 min. then put it on boost. when i turned the key the starter syloniod just clicked. since the shed isnt heated, could it be the starter is just froze up.i know its not the fuel pump cause it turns on for a few seconds then shuts off. when i put the battery charger on it, there was a hissing sound coming from the passenger side of the engine. almost sounds like an injector any info would help thanks Quote Selected
Re: Another no start Reply #1 – February 19, 2005, 10:33:37 PM Do the lights dim considerably when trying to crank it?? If so I'd try a known good battery, after setting 6 months the original possibly won't take enough charge to crank the engine... Quote Selected
