making progress.....slowly

finally during the end of the summer got to resume work on the money pit:toilet: the massive, heavy duty:hick:  A4LD was rebuilt with some of the ranger/explorer guts and a shift kit.  i have installed the new G.R. starter along with the forced4 stainless water tubes and my freshley painted NOS e6 manifold with that fine Bill Hirsch 2000 degree paint.  of course it was ported and polished by chad, a friend i work with.  i have just got the new turbo and obsolete 3" ATR downpipe installed, but for some reason, the camera or computer dumped the pics when i was trying to put them in for viewing, so i'll have to retake those. and just for info, chad has now finished porting and polishing my intake, so hopefully i'll have some time to put in on soon.:birdsmily: enjoy....

I understand how slow progress can be. I seem to have one setback after another and I am so close to having my TC back on the road.

Keep Plugging and you will get there, it will be well worth the wait.

Looks good!  The beefed up A4LD will hopefully work out nice for you.  I know a big cooler and a shift kit helps a great deal.

-thought i post a few of the turbo pics i made this weekend.  thanks for the comments guys, i just have so many irons in the fire, along with working 6 days a week, it hard to find the time or energy to work on it.
here is a pic of the engine bay after i've cleaned it up and painted some places.

this one is of the new ihi turbo and the ATR down pipe.

and the evening sun is shining on this one, but it shows where i took the timing belt cover back off and cut the top part off for access to the cam pulley. and my new Rapido Group cast iron thermostat housing. and if you look real close, you can see the steering rack with the new boots, and the edge of the red poly bushing sticking out on the mounting studs.

next as stated, will involve putting on coolant hoses, my ported intake by chad(have to give him a plug, because he did if for free!) and continue to re-route and re-wrap the wiring harness for better asthetics.  so far just a portion of what i done so far is:

upper and lower CHE arms,
new late model mustang front lower control arms with the updated bushings and ball joints,
poly coil sping bushings all away around,
re-furbished rear axle,
rebuilt auto trans,
new turbo,
ATR downpipe,
ranger roller cam
nos ported e6 exh manifold
ported intake (both pieces)
pony wheels with saleen center caps
drilled/slotted brake rotors
forced4 stainless water tubes,
poly swaybar bushings,
94/95 5.0 throttle body
refurbished steering rack with poly bushings,
and of course i still have new belts, hoses, cables, etc, etc to go. along with new lers and stainless tail pipes.

and you wonder why i call it a money pit...:toilet:

i'm sure i left out something, but if anyone out there were to wants to take this over from me, pm or message me and lmk.....;)
