compression rings

are there any designs out there like the pic i drew up?  I suppose the pic i have would kind of make them "zero gap" as well but im wondering if these exist.  If they  do, i need a set for my project in work.

Well, I guess there's those Childs & Albert things...

[COLOR="Red"]It is really quite simple how the Zero Gap Second
Ring works. It has an overlapping step gap design
(as shown) to eliminate end gap blow by, in addition
to eliminating end gap alignment forever. The
tremendous sealing ability of the ZGS Ring is very
evident when you measure a cylinder’s leak down.

i should check on pricing,, looks like either my puter or the cataloge is not working well together.

Anyone ever use this type of ring?  looks like a no brainer to me except for the unknown cost.  Makes you wonder why would you use anything else.

Total Seal makes gapless rings, although they are a different design than the one you posted.
