for us ragtop guys October 01, 2007, 10:57:05 PM well i went to a local trim shop today to get an estimate on my top i told the guy it would have to be custome built and he picked up the phone and made a call apperntly whoever he called has tops in stock for 86 cougars and thunder birds i asked him to check on the riviera and he said yes same part #as the cougar but listed it for 81 -86 buicks so he said the top by its self was $475 so figure 8 to 9 hundred for every thing id like to know who he called Quote Selected

for us ragtop guys Reply #3 – October 02, 2007, 09:20:50 AM Someone else told me once that "our convertible roof pattern is something that shops can get". Once I figured out that we had the Riviera top, it all made sense. Now the shop that I use could probably get some type of pattern but they don't do things that way--they reused the old top as the pattern. Plus, I wanted cloth instead of canvas. It was easier to use the old canvas top as the pattern. Everything worked out well, no regrets. Anyway...glad to hear you got the shop to find the pattern. That's way cool. Quote Selected
