Vid of my Dads Chevelle September 28, 2007, 01:33:26 AM My Dad has a 1970 Chevelle SS 396. He bought in July of 1988, two months after I was born. He is the second owner, and the car is all original minus the ghetto rear deck purple carpet. 402 C.I. 4.10 Posi, Pioneer 8-track. Lemans Blue, White Stripes, White Vinyl top. In the vid we are running Sea Foam through it, the carb is starting to act up. Might be time for it to be rebuilt, it has a Rochester 650 I think, dont quote me on it. Runs good, and Sounds great for 32" glasspacks. Quote Selected

Vid of my Dads Chevelle Reply #2 – September 28, 2007, 07:00:50 PM He won't get rid of it. Other than the fact that its so nice, my Mom threatens to divorce him if he ever sells it. People ask what we would sell it for everytime we drive it. Quote Selected

Vid of my Dads Chevelle Reply #4 – September 28, 2007, 10:10:09 PM god i love big block chevelles sooooo much. Its sounds good but the glasspacks just don't make it sound like a chevy. Thats one of the only chevys I want to own with a passion. But i want a 454, 4 speed. Quote Selected
Vid of my Dads Chevelle Reply #5 – September 29, 2007, 03:11:34 AM I wish it had a 4 speed. But I wont complain, that thing is such a beast. I love how it sounds, the vid does no justice at all. It doesnt sound like any car I've heard. Its unique, and I love it. Its such a mean tone, really aggressive.32v-Right now we are just running it through the tank mixed with the gas to get some ran through and let it sit and soak. Then we are going to run some down the carb while its running, and then rerun some through the tank to clean it all out. It sits every now and then when weather is bad, or we cant go play with it. It just needs the cobwebs blown out, but the needle sticks, so we are trying to free it up. Quote Selected
