But the article's dealing with the 4.6 DOHC, and it's in the August 2007 issue of Hot Rod.

However, judging by the one picture of the engine in the engine bay . . well, isn't the 5.4 just a taller-deck version?  It'll be wider, sure... but is the width the issue, or will it simply be hood clearance?  I get the impression from the photo that there might just be enough clearance to fit under a stock hood (they're using an 83 mustang)

it may fit with EFI. i was saying the 4.6L wasnt going to clear the hood, because i would be using a carb setup.
