Blazer for Stang

My wife’s 1995 Blazer is a POS.. in the last 2 years it has cost us
$500 Air conditioning pump (+)
$1300 Fuel line wore a hole in the fuel injector, needed to replace both.
and recently
$800 fuel pump went out disintegrating itself washing pieces of itself down the fuel line tearing through the filter and plugging half the new injector.

I want the POS gone so I been keeping an eye out and just came across this...
1990 GT Convertible 25th silver Anniversary, one adult woman owner. 103,000miles. 30k on a $1900 AOD rebuild new HD radiator and $380 exhaust system. Owner tells me only 412 were made with this color combo.
Owner wants to trade for an SUV.

KBB put's a 90 stang GT convert's value at $3990
and her Blazer at $3885

trading e-mails now... wish me luck

Well luck was not with me and it wasn’t meant to be. Driving down the freeway today that POS blew 2+ quarts of tranny fluid all over the highway, the undercarriage, and the front of my 4x4 (I was following her) $100 tow bill and it’s sitting at the tranny shop now.

God I hate that car.

To Ice the cake, I was driving my pickup because my Birds front end started howling.. Think I lost a front wheel bearing as the drivers side front feels loose if I shake it.. so right now that F250 4x4 at 10mpg is saving our butts as our only transportation. I’m going to pull the Bird apart tonight.

Not unless he would still be willing to trade for a Chevy with tranny fluid dripping off 95% of the undercarriage.

Tranny bill so far $450 Remove/Inspect/Replace all seals/Reinstall

That will go up if we did any damage in the 3-5 miles she drove it slipping.

Have I mentioned that I HATE that car? :punchballs:

Apparently the bushing in the pump pushed out and shoved the seal out.. pump must be replaced, Drive/Overdrive band is wasted and the lower gear bad is damaged but would probably last a while but may as well since we have to do the rest.

Final Bill $1700 for a rebuild and reinstall.

That’s $4800 in the last two years in repairs for a car that bluebooks for about $4000.

Have I mentioned I really, REALLY hate this car?

The Blazer/Jimmy trucks (all years) are some of the most unreliable vehicles ever produced in this country.
I wouldn't own one if it was given to me.

I hope you get a Mustang, though. :)

Pos Blazer is gone.. it's been replaced by this 1999 Mazda Miata MX5, Clean Car fax report and PW, Leather, CD, Chrome Roll Bar, Alloy wheels $100k miles
Gave them the POS and 7k and that's with tax an license rolled into the loan.
