Head Gaskets August 24, 2007, 05:37:59 PM I remember reading that during WWII aircraft mechanics would paint head gaskets with aluminum paint and reuse them. This was when they couldn't get parts and they had to keep 'em flying.I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or tried it. Quote Selected
