got a question for yall

now i know the 84's can have 2 different computers. so what is it the eec iii or the eec iv? i have the old and tired 5.0 so i would like to know how to tell em apart.

correct me if i'm wrong but...

if it has a control module on the distributor then it is EEC IV  if not then it is the other one...
84 TC 302 -5.0L/t5/7.5 locking rear and a 3.45 gear, Edelbrock Intake, Aluminum Heads, Edlebrock 65mm Throttlebody, Edlebrock Cam, 24lb injectors & MAS Air Sensor calibrated via chip,  BBK headers, Catback H pipe, Magnaflow lers :evilgrin:

All I can say is that my '84 had the distributor mounted module.  I had a motor from an '83 Crown Vic and the distributor had nothing on it.  No vac advance, no ign module... nothing, wasn't even adjustable, it had pr0ngs to keep it from being turned.

EEC-IV on the CFI cars, EEC-III on carbed

Its about to get sick! seriously I dont know,  but if someone knows were a big friggin list of injector color codes is at feel free to post it!
