question concerning autoride.

the autoride in my car works, but only in the auto setting.  when i manually set it to firm, i get nothing.  it will still kick on when it feels the need to do so, but it won't stay on constantly like it should when in the firm position.  i've checked for blown fuses, but being electrically illiterate, i'm not sure which way to go next.

any thoughts?

Nope. That's what happens when you have regular shocks and the auto-ride still hooked up. The firm light turns on when it's told by the ECM (g's, boost, etc) but won't turn on in "Firm" mode. Layla has regular-style FMS shocks and the entire autoride still hooked up, does the EXACT same thing.

my last 88 would go back and forth on it's own in auto but when i select firm, that's where it goes and stays.  i don't think it's supposed to do this.

Cause the real autoride shocks are gone! Seriously man my TC does the EXACT same thing! GO look at your shocks, if they aren't giant black suckers, they aren't PRC's. Mine are skinny little regular ones with an FMS label on the tops.
