140mph speedo coming soon....

I just bought a 140mph speedo tonight (buttstuffog gauge for the Sports and Turbo Coupes). It'll be here this week.I just installed one into my Sport,so,this one will be for sale. Not for trade. It's going to be used to raise funds for the Sport.I am not sure how much yet,I'll do some research and find the value, then sell it for a little less than that.Just a "For Sale" notice for you.

Yes,it is a direct replacement. They are (as I'm told) pretty rare pieces and getting harder and harder to find.I love mine. It's nice to know how fast the Bird is really going.I tend to break the 95 mph every once in a while.I reset the odometer to zero before I installed mine.I may reset this one before I sell it.I may leave it up to the buyer.

Don't call dibs until you see the price, and, not until I actually have it in my hands.I'm studying about a price.Undecided right now.Believe me,you all will be the first to know.

It's a round gauge, and I'm unsure about the '84 dash.I think it may have a different style. You'll have to ask around about that.

"Tentative dibs".I'm probably going to ask $175.00 shipped in the lower 48 or it.$180.00 if you want me to set it back to zero like new.

honestly, i'll do some research, but going off the last time i was looking for one, that sounds like a fair price... i live in the midwest... lots of long roads in the middle of nowhere... i do more then 95 all the time...  it'd be nice to know exactly how fast i'm going.

That's probably a really fair price.I've seen them higher.Mike at Aerobird Motorsports stated he's seen them a little lower, and a lot higher. So,I want to get my money back for it,and make a few (yes,a few) dollars for myself.I'll let you know when it gets here.Should be this week.

You would have to do a swap out/conversion of the whole cluster for an buttstuffog 85-88 for it to work, Or do something REALLY custom.
The 83-84 have large squared off faces/assemblies.
I've got my '83 TC buttstuffog cluster apart right now if you want to see some pics of the internals, LMK.

Well, if it is too much of a hassle, then I am not gonna worry about it. I am gonna do something like the blown thunderbird on ebay, just do a complete custom dash with aftermarket gauges. It will probly be easier anyways. When I get the gauges I will post of some pics of the progress. Thanks though bro. Good lookin out.
