That's not too bad.A lot of elbow grease, wet or dry sanpaper (600 to 2000),a bucket of water and some polish and you're good.Perhaps a new coat of color for the middle.I've seen a lot worse that have come out looking great.

those could probably look a lot better if they were media blasted and redone.

Yes, they could but that would cost more money than it's worth. I got these wheels and new tires dirt cheap and the goal with this car is minimal money spent.

And since it's not one of my preferred types of Cougars, I don't want to sink a lot of money into it. I just want to keep it in decent shape and keep it away from the crusher.

Those look kinda familiar. :D

These were OEM Saleen wheels, off an '86 I think.  These were on my long-gone Mustang when I bought it.  I drove it like this for a month, until I saw a red Saleen with three gold mesh wheels, and one white 5-spoke Saleen wheel.

I asked the guy why he was driving it that way, he said he had destroyed one of his original wheels and needed a replacement.  I said I had a whole set on my car, and he said HOW MUCH?  I told him what I thought was a fair price, he agreed, and bought them - for as much as I paid for the whole car. :D

In short, I love these wheels now.

Unfortunately, I can't spend money on all of them so I have to draw the line somewhere.

Mine are 16" 4-lug though.  Did Saleens come with 4 or 5-lug?

They were all 5lug as far as I know.

Mine were 16x7 up front and 16x8 in the rear.
