Saleen bird???

Anybody ever think of making their own look alike SALEEN bird???
Seriously considering this with:

 \\ S A L E E N      decals in silver on the bottoms of both doors

S302                  in silver, small lettering on both side creases of the
                          hood near the windshield

SALEEN S302        on the decklid

302                    on the drivers side of the bumper as if it was #302
                          off the assembly line

or 001                  As if i was the first to make one

I really like the look of the saleen decals and think they definetley should have done a few birds/cougs.
What to you guys think??

If I could afford to buy a 4 eye I would be all over that. I want to so bad now.

Somebody did it to a 94/5 MN12 Bird.  I'm not sure if this car is still around anymore, but here is a link to the website for the guy who built it:

Yeah I was going to do that to the bird after I painted it, still might.  Have a few other things I would like to try first.

Sorry, but I just don't get it.

To me it would just look like a fan-boy wannabe car.

Agreeing with Chuck, I believe in some schools that’s called being a Poser.

Visually I think it would be very pleasing, and authentic-looking enough. The scheme would lend itself well to the T-Bird body style. Especially with a set of 17-18" Saleen wheels.

Morally I hate to see anyone advertising for Saleen, whose service is incredibly inept. Steve himself...good guy. Steve's company...not as much. Their reputation as of late has been horrible.

However, as the car's title is in your name, if you feel froggy...leap. :)

would love it if it was able to support itself with on the street/track.

yeah i thought about buying a mn12 bird to do it but i think it would be cooler to see a TC with saleen rims and spoiler and add the decals and window banner and if you got really lucky and found a saleen 5.0 engine to throw in there it would be pretty sick.

Well being that my TC is already 5.0L supercharged it would live up to the S302 badges and perform better than the saleen mustangs of that year.
I don't quite have 18" saleen wheels but i do have the new
18"fr500s in black that match the body just like the saleen wheels.
They also sell on ebay saleen wheel center cap overlays.
Only decal i'm not sure about but is kind of necessary is the windshield one.
Don't really like anything on my widshield but it may be necessary to make the decals work.
Also i think if i do it i'm gonna go with the 001 on the drs side of the front bumper as to make it #1 of production lol.

I'm pretty much with Eric on this, (never argue with god of cougars-:hick: ). I think it looks pretty cool. Even cooler if it was a cougar and painted YELLOW. The coolest color in the WORLD. :D
