My fabbed hood scoop baffles
I had a problem.I have a TC hood, and a 5.0,so,no ducting for the scoops.I have polished valve covers, steering bracket, intake, alternator, and other parts under the hood. When it rains, the water is thrown all over the engine leaving it looking like .The answer, baffles.I figured out what I needed using a piece of carboard as a mock-up,then used that as a pattern to make the real ones.I got some sheet aluminum I had in the garage, and fabbed up these baffles. They are great. They mount to the hood using the nuts on the back to hood scoop studs,so,they are removeable.I didn't want anything permanant because when my friends and I attend local car shows and events,I may choose to remove them so the polished intake and whatever can be seen while the hood is down.Pay no attention to the multicolored hood,it's going through bodywork to get painted soon. What do you think?
