EGR Exhaust Manifold Plug?

My new upper intake has the EGR delete, now I need to plug the exhaust manifold.  The EGR tube threaded into another fitting, which threads into the exhaust manifold.  This fitting is seized, so I'd like to just plug it rather than fighting with it.  What size fitting would work to cap this off?  I brought the EGR tube and tried various fittings at the hardware store, but nothing fit.  I can try hitting the other fitting with PB Blaster and heat, but have a feeling its still going to be a fight.  Thanks!

PS - This is for my 87 TC.

the fitting that goes in the manifold is a 1/2 pipe thread.

You could cut the tube and weld it shut.
