Be On The Lookout For A Scammer!!!! Reply #1 – June 08, 2007, 11:24:13 PM Yep. Seen this happen a couple times. Basicly, he writes you a check, you deposit it and write a check to his shipper. Then his check bounces and you're stuck dealing with the bank. Send him an e-mail and get a phone number and a physical address for him, don't accept a PO box. Then call and confirm the number and confirm the address exists. If he refuses, call the cops. Quote Selected

I always take that policy with what ever I do.It actually does clear because it is from a legit account. The problem is the check number isn't valid. So it bounces later. Be On The Lookout For A Scammer!!!! Reply #9 – June 10, 2007, 03:50:33 PM I received these a couple of times. One from ebay and one from craigslist. I took his email account and signed him up for all sorts of automatic news letters and emails. Some of which he had to confirm and some of which he didn't, they just started coming. Quote Selected

Check number is simply there for my record keeping. Quote Selected
