little help please June 08, 2007, 04:14:19 AM well ive been tryin to get the parts together to get my 84 cougar running but i think i may just buy another car for now. and work on the cougar later. the other car happens to be an 86 cougar i beleive lol 3.8 auto (c5 i think) what i need help with is 1: what to look for to make sure transmission is fine aka doesnt slip shifts properly. i know the fluid needs changed but smells fine (not like burnt toast) anything else to check for?
