trans interchange between v6-v8 May 31, 2007, 03:04:18 AM kinda thumbing thru options here.. im presently presented with the option of a 5.0 with aod thats missing a gear. its out of an 84 tbird and i have an 84 cougar with 3.8 v6 c5.. would it be possible to use the c5 with the v6 torque convertor on the 5.0? or what would i need to use the 5.0 in the 84 cougar with c5.
