My Bird

Well, most of you know that I threw a rod in my Thunderbird. 93 3.8.
Well I found an engine for it, a 91 Thunderbird engine for $250. I am taking the tranny out of my 90 Cougar and putting them together. If anyone has any advice on doing an engine swap let me know. Anything like special tools and what not. Also can you pull out the engine and tranny or do you have to do them seperatly? Thanks everyone.

The engine and trans should come out together, thats how the factory installs them... Does the '93 have a AOD-E trans??? If so your gonna have to do some riggin for linkage to use the '90 AOD...

no it's AOD. we got the engine and trans out today, we gotta pick up the engine tuesday or wednesday. It's gonna be a bitch not being able to just rip everything out like we did on the cougar. Oh well.
