full digital from a sport May 13, 2007, 11:05:20 AM I found a 85 Sport (? 5.0 Black Trim, assuming sport from there) being parted that has a full digital dash. From what I gather using the search here this dash fit into my 88 (digital Speedo only that ya can’t read) BUT would require some wiring adapting and worse than that changing a mess of sensors. (However the car probably has all the sensors, appeared pretty complete still. Not so sure I’m willing to go through all that. Am I correct about what it would take to swap this with mine? full digital from a sport Reply #1 – May 13, 2007, 03:22:54 PM If it's an '85 it ain't a Sport (Sport didn't start until '87) but the disco dash was available in any base, elan or Fila 85-88 Bird. The base digital to full digital is probably one of the more difficult swaps. You'll need the oil and water senders off the donor car, plus a full digital fuel sender (if you have an 87-88 the 85-86 will not work). Of course you'll also have to re-pin your existing connectors and add a few circuits (tach and fuel flow to name two).I'd recommend going with the full buttstuffogue swap, myself - the only sensor that would require changing would be the oil pressure, and that would require changing no matter what cluster you swap in. full digital from a sport Reply #2 – May 13, 2007, 04:01:25 PM I have buttstuffog.I love it except for one thing,95mph just isn't enough.I may swap in a 140 Stang gauge. Quote Selected
full digital from a sport Reply #3 – May 13, 2007, 10:07:35 PM I don't have that 95MPH problem. Canadian cars had 200 km/hr (120 MPH) speedos :hick: Quote Selected
