Turbo Coupe EEC & ABS Database and Picture Registry

Hello, I'd like to introduce my website to the members and viewers here. I contacted Sammy prior to this thread, and was given permission to post about my website. Albeit that was several weeks ago.

Years ago, I created a section on my website dedicated to one of my interests, the T-Bird Turbo Coupe. I spent an enormous amount of time and effort by entering in information into a database to provide an online EEC and ABS database to all viewers who need troubleshooting steps to diagnose and work on their Turbo Coupe.

Some time after getting the EEC and ABS databases online on my website, I then worked with another car club in getting a Turbo Coupe Picture Registry on my website, after there was interest from members being able to partite in a Picture Registry that gathered  basic vehicle information, as well as options and the ability to provide a photo of their vehicle.

Since I'm not good with words, I figured I'd simply provide the links with a brief introduction.

As you can see from my website, I do not have any ads, nor do I collect any membership fees. So I'm not here to make money by getting extra "hits" or traffic to my website.

I realize I've been specific by mainly focusing on the Turbo Coupe, but I've been considering expanding to include the rest of the Fox T-Birds (3.8L and 5.0L engines). However, for now, I've got quite a bit of Turbo Coupe material on my website for those needing information. I continue to maintain the website and have plans to be adding more troubleshooting information, as time permits.

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know.

Thanks.
JT

I only see 1 of my enteries, I need to email you them then. I have the VIN's of about a dozen TC's to add in.

Mike, I have all entries that you submitted. I could only publish the one that you actually provided a VIN to. When I started the project, working with NATO, we all agreed that having the VIN was a must in order to effectively track and dospoogeent these vehicles. If I recall, all but one of your entires had a valid VIN. The rest were fictitious VINs, so they're still in a holding queue.

I understand there may be some concern over collecting VINs, especially since I'm not as known here as I am over on NATO, but if someone wanted to simply collect VINs for an ill reason, using eBay would net you a near unlimited amount of supply of VINs, and would be much more effective.

I considered allowing a separate section for non VINs, but I'm not sure that is a good idea. We want the VINs to effective dospoogeent and track these vehicles. What happens if you provide a false VIN, Mike, for a TC you once owned, but sold? Then the new owner submits his VIN. Now we have 2 entires for 1 TC, but we may never know that. That would also skew the results and data. Of course we never will have all the VINs on record so that in of itself will mean the data will be skewed, but we don't need to add to the problem.

JT,
I'll re-submit with the real VIN's. I didn't realize that you didn't display them.

Mike, the VINs are not made public. I probably should clarify that on the website.

You can either resubmit, or I'll provide a quick re-work of the system to allow you to edit those entries with the valid VIN. Currently, entires that are in a holding queue cannot be re-edited, as it is a "stop" to allow me to review the entry to ensure nobody tries to post something bad. Unfortunately, there are some people that might get some jollies by doing just that on the Internet, so I have some levels of protection in place.
