Motors – 5.0, 2.3 Turbo, 8BA Flathead
We have a 5.0 from an 88 T-Bird for $100, a 2.3 Turbo motor from an 88 Turbo Coupe for $300 (both motors have between 100K and 120K on them), and an 8BA Flathead from a 50 Ford (don’t ask) for $500. My son drove the 5.0 car almost 100 miles home, so I know that is a good motor. The 2.3 is supposed to be good, but I haven’t personally heard it run. I used to drive the 50 Ford myself, so that was a good motor too. I'll be going to Indy this weekend and could meet between Minnesota and Indianapolis if that would help.
