I made a mistake (sea foam) April 07, 2007, 09:30:39 PM I'm a season guy to understand and working on cars. But I got a little over zealous with seafoam i put 1 can in the tank and i IV'ed the the cylinders with 2 cans It smoked like usual. no big deal. I then drove it to brandsmart to get a dryer went inside to buy it and have it delivered. got n the car it turned over spudered and shut off and wouldn't turn over but it wil crank. now every now and then i can drive it with no issuse's but then and again it will crank but not turn over. what can this be. 86 cougar ls. I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #2 – April 08, 2007, 12:56:43 AM what so you mean fouled plugs? because i thought it would be fuel related mechanism. Quote Selected
I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #3 – April 08, 2007, 08:33:22 AM Replace your spark plugs and you should be good. Seafoam has been known to occasionally screw up the spark plugs. Quote Selected

I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #5 – April 08, 2007, 11:42:08 AM the Bosch platinum 4's work quite nice also! Quote Selected
I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #6 – April 09, 2007, 01:22:18 AM Lol those Bosch +4's crack me up.... Those look like they'd be better suited on a blower or turbo car than any regular N/A car. But I'm with the concensus.... only, it's not actually the Seafoam itself that fouls the plugs, it's all the carbon buildup in your motor that is broken loose that does it. It's generally great to do it before a plug change, though I did it on my T/A with 130k miles and changed the plugs like 3 months later and they were fine... Do the oil one as well, you wouldn't believe how black it changes fresh oil in just that 100 miles. Quote Selected
I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #7 – April 09, 2007, 09:30:22 AM I'd say go with the Denso's. Those bosch +4's seem to come back alot at work. "I work in a parts strore" Also you would think that those +4's would be good for nitro or blown apps. But the bosch book doesn't list them in any turbo app. I've always had good luck with the Autolite's,NGK's, Motorcrafts. I do think the NGK's hold up the longest especially in my Turbo coupe. But do what you feel or have had good luck with. My question is have you put the Seafoam trans tune in your tranny? If not run the trans tune in the tranny right before a filter change. You would be amazed at the you will have come out of there. I've always had good luck with anything SeaFoam makes. Quote Selected
I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #8 – April 09, 2007, 05:31:18 PM Ditto on the Platinum Fours. Over the two year time I worked for AutoZone Bosch changed the description of the advantages twice. At first Bosch said that the spark would choose the path of least resistance and with four conductors that must be good right?Later they changed it to say that spark would jump to one then branch out to all four conductors... yeah my ass.. I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #10 – April 09, 2007, 07:50:50 PM I never did the sea foam trans tune. my father put it in his 2.9 bronco 2 and now it seems like it needs new bearings. i'm assuming it's due to that but it can be my overeaction. :disappoin Quote Selected

I made a mistake (sea foam) Reply #13 – April 09, 2007, 08:48:12 PM since we put in the bosch 4's in my brothers car it actually takes full throttle when you mash it, some times even chirps the tires sometimes! Quote Selected
