Does anyone remember me?

Hey everyone.  I don't know if anyone remembers me but I've been lurking around here again after a long hiatus.  This is a great forum...I've just been busy.  I'm engaged and the 'bird as taken the back seat to everything else going on.  This summer I'm gonna get crankin' on it again.  Mods so far are:  TC 8.8 w/3.73's, CHE lower control arms, 17x9 cobra R's, and a Stewart-Warner tach in place of old clock on dash.  I also have started collecting parts for a 5-speed swap and a 11'' brake conversion.  I've had this car since I was 17 so I figure its time to give it a little attention too!

I'll post more pics soon.

Nice looking car.I just installed the 17x9 Cobras on mine as well (245 40 17 front and 255 50 17 rear).Keep up the good work and stay patient collecting those parts.I just picked up an 8.8 last Saturday with 3.55 gears for mine. The 7.5 traction lock rear with 2.73's is going to have to find a new home.Luckily the car came with quad shocks from the factory. Is yours a Sport,LX,or base model? The 5 speed conversion is sounding more and more intriguing everytime I hear of one of you guys doing it.keep us posted on everything.great looking car !!

The car is an LX (i've always though so anyway).

Here are some more pics.  It (along with the rest of the barn) is dirty from the winter.  I'm going to go look at a py fox mustang tomorrow for a possible 5.0 HO/T-5 Swap candidate:ies: .  It would also be worthwhile to steal the 8.8 and the A-arms.  As you can see in the pics my front tires stick out too far...

Yes, looks like you have an LX, judging by the digital dash and chrome window trim (and assuming it came with the 5.0 SO).  Looks nice!  I've had my Tbird since I was 16...almost 3 years now since it was 'handed down' to me :D .

HEY !!! That's how I had my tach until I bought the Sport (has buttstuffog gauges).Great minds think alike.LOL.I lengthened the clock harness, and moved the clock into the small panel right in front of your right knee on the dash.Of course i had to cut a hole in it to match the clock and look factory, but it worked great.Did you do the 199mph upgrade to your speedo? If not,you should.great car.

No that would be pretty cool...however I doubt I should be doing any high speeds in the car right now.  I have some driveline issues I need to iron out (some vibrations) and with the 3.73's she really gets to buzzing pretty good at higher speeds.
