caster / camber fix March 11, 2007, 09:32:04 PM Since doing the tc front brake upgrade, my front wheels are not straight up & down like they should be. My wheels are sitting like this / \ (in at the top and out at the bottom which will wear out the inside edge of the tires). I had put my strut spacer washers on the front side of the spindle. Does it matter if the spacers are on the front or back side of the spindle? I'm going to replace my strut mounts because I believe these are still original. I do not know if this will effect how the wheels sit. I had moved the struts as far either direction as the factory adjustments will allow. This did not fix my problem. I was thinking about buying something like this: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=IEC%2DI%2D81280&view=1&N=700+150+4294908269+4294925008+&appfilter=1I'm sure some people are going to suggest the adjustable caster / camber style strut mounts. These are out of my budget at the current time. What are your thoughts? Quote Selected
caster / camber fix Reply #1 – March 11, 2007, 09:45:58 PM Those eccentrics look like they might work. I've just elongated the holes in the strut to to the same thing (just yank the top of the spindle outward and tighten down) and then fine tuned the camber adjustment at the top with the mount. caster / camber fix Reply #2 – March 12, 2007, 07:01:45 AM I thought the spacers went on both sides of the spindle, or at least that's how I installed them. That shouldn't have an effect on your camber though. Caster... maybe. Chuck? Quote Selected

caster / camber fix Reply #4 – March 12, 2007, 09:16:18 PM I guess I did not drive far enough prior to making my original post. I have my struts are adjusted in towards the motor as far as they can be and my wheels are straight or out a little at the top now. I know something is out because at slow speeds, it feels like the front end is slipping when turning. Quote Selected
