Engine Misfire

Hey guys... I need some expert advice.  I'm having a misfire on '86 5.0 V8.  I just changed the plugs, wires, and distributer cap, but still getting the same problem.  I had this before, and changed just the plugs and wires and the problem was gone for a while.  any advice?  i put in Motorcraft Copper plugs, no idea on the specifics.  just got em from Autozone, and the Valucraft wires and a Duralast cap.  I haven't modified the engine at all, just trying to get my ride smooth again.  any help would be great!

I'd be wary of the Valuecraft wires... Back when I worked at a chain-owned shop, we'd put on the Valuecraft wires to save the customer a few bucks, but we had so many come back with misfires, we gave up on the Valuecrafts all together and hadn't had any problems since.  Some sets had mis-formed clips, crushed clips, improperly crimped clips, some clips were put on without the wire being stripped, things like that.  We didn't have any problems with them up until about a year and a half ago.  Before then, they were fine.  Could be a coil going, or ignition module... there was a recall on those for a few years.  I'd look for arcing around the plug wires and distributor first, then check the coil, have the ignition module tested, etc.  Just my 2 cents...
