Dome / Map Lamp not working...is it a fuse?

Since I purchased this car the dome/map  lamp has not worked.  I've searched Cool Cats and this forums for references to a fuse but haven't found it.  I would have thought they would be on the same circuit/fuse as the courtesy lights on the doors (those are working) but maybe not.  Any ideas?

well, the dome light and courtesy lamps are on the same fuse. a blue 15A , not in the exact opposite corner as the turn signal flasher unit, but one down from it. i don't see any association of the courtesy lights on the doors with the dome/map lights in my haynes manual. i also don't see a schematic for it. if you know how to use a multimeter, check for power and ground is all that i can say.

if the 15a fuse number 8 is blown, there would be a wholebunchashiznit not working including door panel lights.

remove the dome lamp housing and check that ground like mentioned.  Ill watch this thread for your reply.  If your ground is hooked up and looks good, i will post 5 pages of schematics that will provide your path back to the source.

most likely, if your eec has been pulled out or looked at (pass side kick panle below glove box), there is a connector labled C415 or C415B that is loose or disconnected.  that wiring leads along from the eec , along the pass side under carpet and up thru the center where the seatbelt retract and over to the lights.

your tracing the light green/ yellow wire as your positive lead.

Now that you say this, MAYBE it did work when I bought the car.  But now, I've done the 5.0 HO swap and maybe I disconnected it when I did the eec swap.  I'll have to take a look at that.

By the way, does anyone know why my sigpic does not show up???

You were right on...I checked the panel and I had left that connecter disconnected.  Thanks again for your help.
