First I would like to say " Hi all"

I recently got my first Bird and I have a couple of questions about lights.
I have an '88 Sport and I need a new left front marker light and my right headlight is very yellow and grungy looking, the front lights look the same on a similar year Mustang and I was wondering if they would fit my bird?
Also, are there any other parts that would swap right across?

B.T.W.  pics will be coming as soon as the weather allows.

Welcome

The mustang lights are different,  many driveline and suspension parts will swap though.

the headlight should still be available from ford:
E7SZ-13007-A   HEADLAMP  RIGHT

E7SZ-13007-B   HEADLAMP LEFT

try a local dealer or fordparts.com/1stfordparts.com

the markers are obsolete AFAIK
the outers are all the same  the inner markers are different between the regular birds and the TC
best bet for markers is junkyard, ebay, etc
the parts numbers I have are as follows if you want to check around though :

E7SZ-13201-B   LEFT INNER PARK LAMP

E7SZ-13201-A   OUTER LEFT PARK LAMP

No,there really is a kit from Wal-Mart(wally world) that you can get for about 410.00.It comes with some pads and a disc for your drill. If you follow the instructions completely, you will have great results.I used them on my 'Bird. It wasn't a joke Daboss351.

I can't remember who makes it.There about 4 or 5 little sanding pads about 2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter. You don't use any fluids. They made a HUGE difference in my headlights.Worth every penney of the $10.00.No joke. It's kept near the automotive sandpaper, and body work supplies at Wal-Mart.I saw the product at AutoZone yesterday as well.

3M makes a kit. I have been told you can just use rubbing compound. Counter clerk at the autopaint store told me that. I think Meguiars makes a kit also... getit at the bowzone

I wonder if that stuff they advertise on tv to repair eye glass scratches would work on deep scratches, too deep to rub out?

I used a polishing compound on the lenses of a Nissan Sentra and they cleaned right up.  As long as you don't have any moisture in the lens, it's worth spending a few bucks and expending some elbow grease.
