auto lamps (mirror) Reply #3 – January 10, 2007, 03:26:04 PM Hello,Yes, I just come from My car jackstanded 2 feet over the floor just for You to take a pic of the mirror:grinno: .I have another mirror parted out in My garage, But I not found to take a pic of the inside, But if You have the same mirror of Me (picture) just open and go straight to the little orange (mine was orange) strap, I repaired around 50 mirrors like that, and I found 2 or 3 on the lot have a "servo" problems...For Your Info, You have 3 wires goes to the mirror, a GROUND, a B+ from ACC, and one from the backup lights, the one from the backup lights B+ is just to be sure to switch the mirror in "normal" position when You're in reverse...Here's the pic of My mirror (1st generation)...Hope this help, and have a nice Day!... auto lamps (mirror) Reply #7 – January 29, 2007, 06:31:08 PM The sensor on your rearview is for the auto diming highbeam feature not your autolamps, that sensor is in the top of the dash board under a small sloted cover, the sensor itself can be replaced. Quote Selected
auto lamps (mirror) Reply #8 – January 30, 2007, 12:50:32 AM Well!, I just catch the mistake!!!, He don't talk the auto dimming mirror, but the auto DIMMING lamp sensor, I have one (not visible in the pic of My mirror), and this sensor it's easy replaceable, just unscrew of the mirror bracket, unplug the connector (3 wires conn), and put another one...This is not only Bird/cougar sensor, this is the same in ALL full featured Ford, like Crown vic, Lincolns, Grand marquis, and many others models have the auto dimming lamps...Regards,Dom.
