How should I fix this?? Reply #2 – February 01, 2007, 11:50:56 AM It would be a LOT easier to just grab another fender and install it.It wouldn't take more than half an hour if you take your time. Quote Selected

How should I fix this?? Reply #5 – February 01, 2007, 02:56:42 PM My Sport has a dent right below the belt line on the passenger side rear.I'm working on it.I'm undecided if I'll keep at it,or have that piece of the fender replaced on the rear. For the front, just swap it. Quote Selected
How should I fix this?? Reply #6 – February 02, 2007, 06:25:26 PM Don't change any parts for these littles damages, it's easyly repairable with a body hammer and dolly block, it's not a very rusted parts, (the 1st pic), Just hamming to get some decent surgaces, grind all paint with a 24 or 36 grit disk, pre-finish with some plastic body filler (bondo), rope Your plastic as best looking as possible, sand with 60~80 grit, prime it, and apply one layer of finishing putty, sand with a 180grit and 320, re-prime it, check the surface, and reapply another layer if needed, , then prime 2-3 layers after that, with a 320 and 400 grit for the last layer, and paint it!!!...Regards,Dom. How should I fix this?? Reply #7 – February 03, 2007, 10:01:00 AM If you're going to repair the front fender, I'd do what Dom said but I'd also use VERY little heat to help put the metal back into shape. Hammer/dolly; very little heat on the creases-hammer/dolly on heated spots-dab with cool cloth. Repeat until sheet metal is almost smooth then follow Tbirdmaniac's proceedure. Yes, it's more work but I agree w/ Dom, It's repairable.John Quote Selected
How should I fix this?? Reply #8 – February 04, 2007, 01:55:09 PM that rear qtr trim would probably yield the missing bolt inside the trunk well forward and way down to the right. that trim comes with bolts molded into the plastic and if you find the part, just fix it with 2part epoxy. you'll see the rest of the nuts you need to remove along the interior of the trunk pass rear qtr.on the front fender,, you'd be surprised how easy the fender is to come off. Its really cake.bolt locations........vertical line of bolts along header and bumper coverwheel well skirt phillups screwsone on the bottom directly behind front driver wheela few along the engine bay and one hiding up near the windshieldone directly in line with upper door hinge visible wth door openfrom the looks, i would think it would be best to "fix" the fender off the car cause thats a funky crease and its at a point where there is a factory bend in the sheet metal. I wouldnt put heat on these thin ass bodies,, thats what bondo is for if you dont get it perfect. Quote Selected
